Subject to paragraph (3) below, this article and articles 1, 3(2), 5(1), (5) and (6), 6, 11(1) and (4) and 13 of this Order shall come into force on the day after the day on which the Order is made.

Subject to paragraph (3) below, the remaining provisions of this Order shall come into force on 1st December 2002.

The coming into force of articles 3(2), 8, 9, 11(2) and (3), 12, 13 and 14 of, and the Schedule to, this Order shall not apply in respect of an election where the last day for the publication of the notice of election is before the day on which the provision in question comes into force.
