Whereas:
(1) by paragraph 6(1) of Schedule 14 to the Terrorism Act 2000 (1) (“the 2000 Act”) the Secretary of State is required to issue a code of practice in connection with the exercise by authorised officers of functions conferred on them by virtue of the Act;
(2) pursuant to paragraph 7(1) of Schedule 14 to the 2000 Act, the Secretary of State has published a draft of the code of practice in connection with the above matter and has considered representations made to him about it and modified it as he thinks appropriate;
(3) pursuant to paragraph 7(2) of Schedule 14 to the 2000 Act, the Secretary of State has laid a draft of the code of practice before Parliament;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the power conferred upon him by paragraph 7(3) of Schedule 14 to the 2000 Act, the Secretary of State makes the following Order, a draft of which has been laid before Parliament in accordance with section 123(4)(m) of the 2000 Act and approved by resolution of each House of Parliament:
