Prospective
(1)This section applies for the purposes of section 3.
(2)“Abuse” includes—
(a)sexual abuse,
(b)physical abuse,
(c)spiritual abuse,
(d)psychological or emotional abuse other than spiritual abuse,
(e)financial abuse, and
(f)neglect and maltreatment.
(3)“Financial abuse” includes—
(a)having money or other property stolen,
(b)being defrauded,
(c)being put under pressure in relation to money or other property, and
(d)having money or other property misused.
(4)The rules may make further provision about—
(a)the categories of injury or loss which are relevant for the purposes of section 3(1);
(b)the categories of abuse in subsection (2) of this section.
(5)The Archbishops’ Council may prepare, and from time to time revise, guidance about—
(a)the meaning of “close connection”;
(b)the meaning of “spiritual abuse”.
