The Incumbents (Vacation of Benefices) Measure 1977 is amended as follows.

In section 6 (enquiry into whether incumbent unable to discharge functions because of age or disability), in subsection (2)(b), omit “, provost”.

In section 19 (meaning of “benefice”), for “dean or provost of a parish church cathedral within the meaning of the Cathedrals Measure 1963” substitute “ dean of a parish church cathedral; and the reference to a parish church cathedral is to be read with section 40(2) of the Cathedrals Measure 2021 ”.
