I12Amendment of Article 8 of Constitution of the General Synod

The Diocese is a diocese for the purposes of Article 8(1) of the Constitution of the General Synod set out in Schedule 2 to the Synodical Government Measure 1969 (No. 2).

The following provisions are repealed—
a
the words “or, in the case of the Diocese in Europe, of the bishop's council and standing committee of that diocese” in Article 8(1) of the Constitution; and
b
section 3 of the Diocese in Europe Measure 1980 (No. 2).
