The Archbishops of Canterbury and York, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 4(2) of the Vacancies in Suffragan Sees and Other Ecclesiastical Offices Measure 2010 F1, make the following Instrument: Measure 2009 received the Royal Assent on the second day of April 2009
Textual Amendments
1. This Instrument may be cited as the Vacancies in Suffragan Sees and Other Ecclesiastical Offices Measure 2010 ( Appointed Day No. 1) Instrument 2010.
2. The day appointed for the coming into force of sections 1 and 3 of the Vacancies in Suffragan Sees and Other Ecclesiastical Offices Measure 2010 is 1st June 2010.

This Instrument brings into force, on 1st June 2010, sections 1 and 3 of the Vacancies in Suffragan Sees and Other Ecclesiastical Offices Measure 2010. The provisions commenced reduce the number of persons to be presented to Her Majesty for appointment to a suffragan see from two to one and abolish rights of the Crown relating to cession.
