These Regulations commence sections 2 and 13 and schedule 2 of the Tied Pubs (Scotland) Act 2021 (“the Act”) on 30 April 2024.

The Bill for the Act received Royal Assent on 5 May 2021. Section 3 (duty to act consistently with regulatory principles), section 4 (Scottish Ministers’ duty to seek to make code and appoint adjudicator), section 5 (review of the code and adjudicator’s performance), part 3 (interpretation) and part 4 (final provisions) came into force on the following day.
