The Police Act 1997 and the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007 (Fees) (Coronavirus) Amendment Regulations 2021
In accordance with section 70(3) of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007, the Scottish Ministers have had regard to the circumstances in which the fees are payable, and the desirability of maintaining an appropriate balance among the quality of the performance of their vetting, barring and disclosure functions, the cost of that performance and the fees paid to them in respect of that performance.
Citation and commencement1.
These Regulations may be cited as the Police Act 1997 and the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007 (Fees) (Coronavirus) Amendment Regulations 2021 and come into force on 25 March 2021.

These Regulations amend the Police Act 1997 and the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007 (Fees) (Coronavirus) Regulations 2020 (“the 2020 Regulations”). The 2020 Regulations make provision for free disclosure checks and applications to join the PVG Scheme for work relating to the coronavirus response.
Regulation 2 amends the 2020 Regulations so that they will cease to have effect on 25 March 2022.
