The Scottish Ministers make the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 2(1)(b) of the Abortion Act 1967(1) and all other powers enabling them to do so.
1967 c. 87. The functions of the Secretary of State were transferred to the Scottish Ministers by virtue of section 53 of the Scotland Act 1998 (c. 46). Prior to the coming into force of section 53 of the Scotland Act 2016 (c. 11), the functions conferred on the Secretary of State in section 2 of the Abortion Act 1967 were, so far as exercisable by the Secretary of State in or as regards Scotland, exercisable by the Scottish Ministers under S.I. 1999/1750.
