The Scottish Ministers make the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 153(4) of the Environmental Protection Act 1990

Citation, commencement and extent1.(1)

This Order may be cited as the Financial Assistance for Environmental Purposes (Scotland) Order 2020 and comes into force on 28 January 2021.

This Order extends to Scotland only.

Variation of section 153(1) of the Environmental Protection Act 19902.

In section 153(1) of the Environmental Protection Act 1990

To which there are amendments which are not relevant to this Order. The requirement to obtain Treasury consent for the giving of financial assistance under section 153(1) was removed by section 55 of the Scotland Act 1998 (c.46).
