Coming into force

The Scottish Ministers make the following Regulations in exercise of the power conferred by section 26(2) of the Agriculture (Retained EU Law and Data) (Scotland) Act 20201.

Citation and Commencement1

These Regulations may be cited as the Agriculture (Retained EU Law and Data) (Scotland) Act 2020 (Commencement No. 1) Regulations 2020 and come into force on 5 November 2020.

Appointed Day2

5 November 2020 is the day appointed for the coming into force of the following provisions of the Agriculture (Retained EU Law and Data) (Scotland) Act 2020—

a

section 1 (Defined terms),

b

section 2 (Power to simplify or improve CAP legislation),

c

section 3 (Power to provide for the operation of CAP legislation beyond 2020), and

d

section 4 (Power to modify financial provision in CAP legislation).

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations bring into force sections 1, 2, 3 and 4 of the Agriculture (Retained EU Law and Data) (Scotland) Act 2020 on 5 November 2020.

The Bill for that Act received Royal Assent on 1 October 2020. Section 5 and sections 21 to 27 came into force on the day after that.
