The Coronavirus (Scotland) Acts (Amendment of Expiry Dates) Regulations 2020
In accordance with section 12(6) of the Coronavirus (Scotland) Act 2020 and section 9(6) of the Coronavirus (Scotland) (No.2) Act 2020 the Scottish Ministers have laid before the Scottish Parliament a statement of reasons as to why this instrument should be made.
In accordance with section 12(5) of the Coronavirus (Scotland) Act 2020 and section 9(5) of the Coronavirus (Scotland) (No.2) Act 2020, a draft of this instrument has been laid before, and approved by resolution, of the Scottish Parliament.
Commencement and citation1.
These Regulations may be cited as the Coronavirus (Scotland) Acts (Amendment of Expiry Dates) Regulations 2020 and come into force on 29 September 2020.

The Coronavirus (Scotland) Act 2020 is amended as follows.

In section 12(1) (expiry) for “30 September 2020” substitute “31 March 2021”.

These Regulations amend the Coronavirus (Scotland) Act 2020 (the “first Act”) and the Coronavirus (Scotland) (No.2) Act 2020 (the “second Act”).
Part 1 of the first Act and Part 1 of the second Act expires on 30 September 2020. These Regulations amend those Acts so that Part 1 of the first Act and Part 1 of the second Act expires on 31 March 2021.
