In terms of section 134(3) of the Public Services Reform (Scotland) Act 2010, Part 2 of that Act ceases to have effect 5 years after being brought into force unless the Scottish Ministers make an order extending the period of effect. Part 2 is concerned with order-making powers relating to the public functions of certain bodies and came into force on 1 August 2010.

A previous Order (S.S.I. 2015/234) extended the effect of Part 2 for a period of 5 years from 4 June 2015. This Order further extends the effect of Part 2 for a period of 5 years.
