The National Bus Travel Concession Scheme for Older and Disabled Persons (Scotland) Amendment Order 2020

Coming into force

The Scottish Ministers make the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 40(1), (3) and (4) and 52(4) of the Transport (Scotland) Act 20051 and all other powers enabling them to do so.

In accordance with section 52(3) of that Act, a draft of this Order has been laid before, and approved by resolution of, the Scottish Parliament.

Citation and commencement1

This Order may be cited as the National Bus Travel Concession Scheme for Older and Disabled Persons (Scotland) Amendment Order 2020 and comes into force on 1 April 2020.

Amendments to the National Bus Travel Concession Scheme for Older and Disabled Persons (Scotland) Order 20062

The National Bus Travel Concession Scheme for Older and Disabled Persons (Scotland) Order 20062 is amended as follows.

At the end of article 12(2B)(j) insert—

for the financial year beginning on 1 April 2020 £226,100,000.

In article 12(2D)—

a

at the end of paragraph (f) omit “and”,

b

at the end of paragraph (g) insert—

h

55.9% for the financial year beginning on 1 April 2020.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order amends article 12 of the National Bus Travel Concession Scheme for Older and Disabled Persons (Scotland) Order 2006 to set the capped level of funding and the reimbursement rate for the financial year 2020/21 (article 2).
