Coming into force
The Scottish Ministers make the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 63(2) and (3) of the Planning (Scotland) Act 20191.
Citation, commencement and interpretation1

These Regulations may be cited as the Planning (Scotland) Act 2019 (Commencement No. 1) Regulations 2019 and come into force on 8 November 2019.

In these Regulations—
“the Act” means the Planning (Scotland) Act 2019, and
“the 1997 Act” means the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 19972.
Appointed day2

Subject to paragraph (2), the day appointed for the coming into force of the provisions of the Act specified in column 1 of the table in the schedule (the subject matter of which is described in column 2 of that table) is 8 November 2019.

Where a purpose is specified in column 3 of that table in relation to any provision specified in column 1, that provision comes into force on 8 November 2019 only for that purpose.
