3. The amendment of section 17A(1) of the 1993 Act(1) by section 50(2) of the Act has no effect in relation to a prisoner released on licence under section 3AA of the 1993 Act(2) before the day appointed in regulation 2(1).
Section 17A was inserted into the 1993 Act by section 15(13) of the Management of Offenders etc. (Scotland) Act 2005.
Section 3AA was inserted into the 1993 Act by section 15(5) of the Management of Offenders etc. (Scotland) Act 2005 and has been amended by S.S.I. 2008/126 and S.S.I. 2016/416.
