Amendment of the Local Governance (Scotland) Act 2004 (Remuneration) Regulations 2007

2.—(1) The Local Governance (Scotland) Act 2004 (Remuneration) Regulations 2007(1) are amended as follows.

(2) For the table in regulation 6(2) (remuneration of the Leader of the Council) substitute—

“(a)Band A – £29,119,
(b)Band B – £34,944,
(c)Band C – £40,765,
(d)Band D – £52,414.”.

(3) For the table in regulation 7(2) (remuneration of the Civic Head) substitute—

“(a)Band A – £21,840,
(b)Band B – £26,208,
(c)Band C – £30,575,
(d)Band D – £39,310.”.

(4) In regulation 10 (councillors’ remuneration) for “£16,994” substitute “£17,470”.

(5) In regulation 12 (joint boards)—

(a)in paragraph (8) (payment to conveners) for “£21,245” substitute “£21,840”, and

(b)in paragraph (9) (payment to vice-conveners) for “£20,183” substitute “£20,748”.
