The Scottish Ministers make the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 9(2) of the Wild Animals in Travelling Circuses (Scotland) Act 20181.

Citation and commencement1.

These Regulations may be cited as the Wild Animals in Travelling Circuses (Scotland) Act 2018 (Commencement) Regulations 2018 and come into force on 28th May 2018.

Appointed day2.

The day appointed for the coming into force of sections 1 to 8 and schedules 1 and 2 of the Wild Animals in Travelling Circuses (Scotland) Act 2018 is 28th May 2018.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations bring into force sections 1 to 8 and schedules 1 and 2 of the Wild Animals in Travelling Circuses (Scotland) Act 2018 (“the Act”).

The Bill for the Act received Royal Assent on 24th January 2018. Sections 9 and 10 came into force the following day.
