Amendment of the 2015 Regulations

2.—(1) The 2015 Regulations are amended in accordance with paragraph (2).

(2) After regulation 3, insert—

“Eligibility for appointment as an ordinary member of the First-tier Tribunal for Scotland (health and education experience)

3A.   A person is eligible for appointment as an ordinary member of the First-tier Tribunal for Scotland if the person has knowledge and experience of children or young persons with—

(a) additional support needs within the meaning of section 1(1) of the Education (Additional Support for Learning) (Scotland) Act 2004(1); or

(b) a disability within the meaning of section 6 of the Equality Act 2010(2).

Eligibility for appointment as an ordinary member of the First-tier Tribunal for Scotland (charity regulatory experience)

3B.   A person is eligible for appointment as an ordinary member of the First-tier Tribunal for Scotland if the person has knowledge and experience in accounting or governance of public or private bodies or charities.”.
