Coming into force
The Scottish Ministers make the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 29(3) and (4) of the Housing (Scotland) Act 19871 and all other powers enabling them to do so.
Citation and commencement1.
This Order may be cited as the Homeless Persons (Unsuitable Accommodation) (Scotland) Amendment Order 2017 and comes into force on 2nd October 2017.
Amendment of the Homeless Persons (Unsuitable Accommodation) (Scotland) Order 20142.

The Homeless Persons (Unsuitable Accommodation) (Scotland) Order 20142 is amended as follows.

In article 7(2) (temporary accommodation) for “14” substitute “7”.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order amends the Homeless Persons (Unsuitable Accommodation) (Scotland) Order 2014 to reduce the period of time, during which accommodation can be provided which would otherwise be unsuitable, from 14 to 7 days.
