The Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty in Council

This Order is made in exercise of the power conferred by section 43A(1)(a) of the Fire (Scotland) Act 20051 and all other powers enabling Her Majesty to do so.

Accordingly, Her Majesty is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order as follows.

Citation and commencement1.

This Order may be cited as the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (Appointment of Chief Inspector) Order 2016 and comes into force on 26th February 2016.

Appointment of Chief Inspector2.

Martyn Anthony Emberson, QFSM is appointed as the Chief Inspector of the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.

Revocation3.

The Fire and Rescue Authorities (Appointment of Chief Inspector) (Scotland) Order 20112 is revoked.

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order appoints Martyn Anthony Emberson, QFSM as the Chief Inspector of the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.

Article 3 revokes the Fire and Rescue Authorities (Appointment of Chief Inspector) (Scotland) Order 2011.
