EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order brings into force provisions of the Children and Young People (Scotland) Act 2014 (“the 2014 Act”).
The Order commences all of the sections in Parts 4 and 5 of the 2014 Act (sections 19 to 45), so far as not already in force, with effect from 31st August 2016. Some of these sections were partially commenced by an earlier commencement order for the purpose of enabling the Scottish Ministers to make orders under the sections.
The Order commences section 68 of the 2014 Act, so far as not already in force, with effect from 31st August 2016. Section 68 was partially commenced by an earlier commencement order for the purpose of enabling the Scottish Ministers to make orders under that section.
The Order fully commences schedules 2 and 3 to the 2014 Act.
The Order also commences section 95 of the 2014 Act, for all purposes, with effect from 31st August 2016.
