This Order appoints 20th December 2016 for the coming into force of the following provisions of the Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act 2015 (“the Act”)—
section 144(1), and paragraphs 5(b) and (c), 6, 7 and 9 to 12 of schedule 4, and
section 144(2) and schedule 5 in so far as it relates to the repeal of Part 2 and section 57(2)(b) of the Local Government in Scotland Act 2003.
Those provisions make amendments and repeals consequential to the commencement of Part 2 of the Act (community planning) on that date.
The Bill for the Act received Royal Assent on 24th July 2015. Sections 141 to 143, 145 and 146 came into force the following day.
