The Water Resources (Scotland) Act 2013 (Commencement No. 4) Order 2016

The Scottish Ministers make the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 56(2) of the Water Resources (Scotland) Act 20131.

Citation and commencement1

This Order may be cited as the Water Resources (Scotland) Act 2013 (Commencement No. 4) Order 2016 and comes into force on 1st January 2017.

Appointed day2

1st January 2017 is the day appointed for the coming into force of section 33 (notification of occupancy) of the Water Resources (Scotland) Act 2013 (in so far as that section is not already in force).

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order brings into force, on 1st January 2017, section 33 (which makes provision in relation to notification of occupancy) of the Water Resources (Scotland) Act 2013 (“the Act”).

The Bill for the Act received Royal Assent on 9th April 2013. Section 56 of the Act brought into force Part 8 (except section 53 and schedule 4) on the day after Royal Assent.
