The Scottish Ministers make the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 14(2) of the Welfare Funds (Scotland) Act 2015(1).
1. This Order may be cited as the Welfare Funds (Scotland) Act 2015 (Commencement) Order 2015 and comes into force on 1st February 2016.
2.—(1) 1st February 2016 is the day appointed for the coming into force of sections 3(3) and (4), 4 and 6 of the Welfare Funds (Scotland) Act 2015.
(2) 1st April 2016 is the day appointed for the coming into force of sections 1, 2, 3(1) and (2), 5 and 7 to 13 of that Act.

This Order provides for the commencement of all provisions in the Welfare Funds (Scotland) Act 2015 (“the Act”) which fall to be commenced by order. Sections 14 and 15 of the Act came into force on 9th April 2015 (the day after Royal Assent). Article 2(1) of this Order lists provisions of the Act coming into force on 1st February 2016. These concern regulations and guidance. The remaining provisions of the Act come into force on 1st April 2016.
