The Public Services Reform (Inspection and Monitoring of Prisons) (Scotland) Order 2015 No. 39

Amendment of the Public Services Reform (Scotland) Act 2010

3.—(1) The Public Services Reform (Scotland) Act 2010(1) is amended as follows.

(2) In schedule 5 (improvement of public functions: listed bodies)—

(a) the entry for “Visiting Committees” is repealed;

(b) after “Highlands and Islands Enterprise” insert—

“any independent prison monitor appointed under section 7B(2)(a) of the Prisons (Scotland) Act 1989”; and

(c) after “Police Investigations and Review Commissioner”(2) insert—

“the prison monitoring advisory group established under section 7F of the Prisons (Scotland) Act 1989

any prison monitoring co-ordinator appointed under section 7A(2) of the Prisons (Scotland) Act 1989”.

(3) In schedule 8 (information on exercise of public functions: listed public bodies), the entry for “Visiting Committees” is repealed.
