This Order amends the Housing (Scotland) Act 2014 (Commencement No. 3 and Transitional Provision) Order 2015 by omitting the entry in the Schedule relating to section 25 of the Housing (Scotland) Act 2014 (“the 2014 Act”) prior to the day appointed in that Order for that section coming into force.
Section 25 will now be brought into force by this Order in a staged commencement. There are 3 appointed days for the commencement of section 25(1)(a) which will enable applications to be brought by the particular local authorities specified in relation to each appointed day. The appointed day for the remainder of section 25 is 1st December 2015.
Sections 100, 101, 102, 104 and 105 of the 2014 Act came into force on the day the Bill for that Act received Royal Assent: 1st August 2014.
