Citation and commencement 1 This Order may be cited as the Housing (Scotland) Act 2014 (Commencement No. 4 and Amendment) Order 2015 and comes into force on 30th November 2015. Amendment to the Housing (Scotland) Act 2014 (Commencement No. 3 and Transitional Provision) Order 2015 2 1 The Housing (Scotland) Act 2014 (Commencement No. 3 and Transitional Provision) Order 2015 is amended as follows. 2 In the Schedule, omit the entry for section 25 (third party application in respect of the repairing standard) of the Housing (Scotland) Act 2014. Appointed days 3 1 Subject to paragraph (2) the day appointed for the coming into force of the provisions of the Housing (Scotland) Act 2014 specified in column 1 of the Schedule is specified in column 2 of the Schedule. 2 Where a purpose is specified in column 3 of the Schedule, a provision specified in column 1 comes into force in accordance with paragraph (1) only for that purpose. EXPLANATORY NOTE (This note is not part of the Order)

This Order amends the Housing (Scotland) Act 2014 (Commencement No. 3 and Transitional Provision) Order 2015 by omitting the entry in the Schedule relating to section 25 of the Housing (Scotland) Act 2014 (“the 2014 Act”) prior to the day appointed in that Order for that section coming into force.Section 25 will now be brought into force by this Order in a staged commencement. There are 3 appointed days for the commencement of section 25(1)(a) which will enable applications to be brought by the particular local authorities specified in relation to each appointed day. The appointed day for the remainder of section 25 is 1st December 2015. Sections 100, 101, 102, 104 and 105 of the 2014 Act came into force on the day the Bill for that Act received Royal Assent: 1st August 2014.
