This Order brings into force certain provisions of the Historic Environment Scotland Act 2014 (“the Act”) for the purposes of enabling Scottish Ministers to appoint persons as members of Historic Environment Scotland and to appoint one of those members as chair, and enabling the appointment of the chief executive of Historic Environment Scotland.

The Bill for the Act received Royal Assent on 9th December 2014. Sections 25 to 27 and 29 to 32 came into force on 10th December 2014.
