Article 2 of this Order brings into force section 8(1) and (2) of the Post-16 Education (Scotland) Act 2013 (regional strategic bodies) on 1st August 2014 for the purpose of inserting the University of the Highlands and Islands into Part 2 of schedule 2A to the Further and Higher Education (Scotland) Act 2005 as a regional strategic body.
