Coming into force
The Scottish Ministers make the following Order in exercise of the power conferred by section 34(2) of the Victims and Witnesses (Scotland) Act 20141.
Citation, commencement and interpretation1

This Order may be cited as the Victims and Witnesses (Scotland) Act 2014 (Commencement No. 1) Order 2014 and comes into force on 16th May 2014.

In this Order, “the Act” means the Victims and Witnesses (Scotland) Act 2014.
Provisions coming into force on 16th May 20142
The day appointed for the coming into force of section 31(2) (NCF: constitution and operation) of the Act so far as it inserts paragraphs 3, 7(3) to (6) and 14 of the new schedule 1A is 16th May 2014.
Provisions coming into force on 1st July 20143
Insofar as not already in force, the day appointed for the coming into force of sections 30 (National Confidential Forum) and 31 of the Act is 1st July 2014.
