The Public Transport Users’ Committee for Scotland (Removal of Functions) Order 2013

Coming into force

The Scottish Ministers make the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 42(3)(b) of the Transport (Scotland) Act 20051 and all other powers enabling them to do so.

Citation and commencement1

This Order may be cited as the Public Transport Users’ Committee for Scotland (Removal of Functions) Order 2013 and comes into force on 1st April 2013.

Removal of functions2

The following functions are removed from the Public Transport Users’ Committee for Scotland—

a

its functions under subsection (1) of section 42 of the Transport (Scotland) Act 2005;

b

its functions under subsection (2) of that section; and

c

its functions under article 4 of the Public Transport Users’ Committee for Scotland Order 20062.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order removes from the Public Transport Users’ Committee for Scotland all the functions which it presently has. The functions concerned are those under subsection (1) of section 42 of the Transport (Scotland) Act 2005 (considering and making recommendations to Scottish Ministers about public transport services), under subsection (2) of that section (considering and making recommendations about any matter if asked to do so by the Scottish Ministers) and under article 4 of the Public Transport Users’ Committee for Scotland Order 2006 (determining certain complaints concerning the operation of bus services).
