EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order brings into force, on 21st December 2013, the following provisions of the Water Resources (Scotland) Act 2013 (“the Act”)—
sections 23 to 28 which make provision in relation to Scottish Water’s functions,
sections 30 and 31 which make provision in relation to raw water quality, and
section 34 to 37 which make provision in relation to sewerage networks.
The Bill for the Act received Royal Assent on 9th April 2013. Section 56 of the Act brought into force Part 8 (except section 53 and schedule 4) on the day after Royal Assent.
