7.—(1) An applicant may withdraw a variation application at any time by notice in writing to the Scottish Ministers.
(2) If a variation application is withdrawn after it has been published in accordance with regulation 4 the Scottish Ministers must notify the relevant planning authority (if any) and the [F1consultation] bodies (within the meaning of regulation 2(1) of the EIA Regulations) that it has been withdrawn.
