This Order brings into force those provisions of the Marine (Scotland) Act 2010 (“the Act”) which have yet to come into force and with the coming into force of this Order the Act is fully commenced.
Article 2 of the Order brings into force on 1st November 2013 the provisions of section 167 of the Act so far as relating to paragraph 4 of schedule 4 to the Act. Paragraph 4 of schedule 4 to the Act repeals section 1 of the Protection of Wrecks Act 1973 (c.33) so far as it extends to Scotland.
Article 3 of the Order revokes the Orders made under section 1 of the Protection of Wrecks Act 1973 in respect of sites situated in Scotland.
