The Aberdeen City (Electoral Arrangements) Variation Order 2013

Coming into force
The Scottish Ministers make the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 26 and 233 of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 19731 and all other powers enabling them to do so.
In accordance with section 26(2) of that Act they sent copies of a draft Order to such local authorities, public authorities and community councils as appeared to them to be concerned and gave public notice that the draft Order has been prepared, that a copy of it was available for inspection at specified locations, that representations with respect to the draft Order might be made to them and of the timescales within which those representations could be made.
In accordance with section 26(3) of that Act the Scottish Ministers have considered the representations made with respect to the draft Order and have made this Order in the form of the draft with modifications.
Citation and commencement1
This Order may be cited as the Aberdeen City (Electoral Arrangements) Variation Order 2013 and comes into force on 1st June 2013.
Variation of the Schedule to the Aberdeen City (Electoral Arrangements) Order 20062
The following variations are made to column 2 of the Schedule to the Aberdeen City (Electoral Arrangements) Order 20062 (electoral wards)—
a
for “Kingswells/Sheddocksley” substitute “Kingswells/Sheddocksley/Summerhill”;
b
for “Northfield” substitute “Northfield/Mastrick North”;
c
for “Hilton/Stockethill” substitute “Hilton/Woodside/Stockethill”; and
d
for “Kincorth/Loirston” substitute “Kincorth/Nigg/Cove”.
