Citation, commencement and interpretation1.

(1)

This Order may be cited as the Housing (Scotland) Act 2010 (Commencement No. 6, Transitional and Savings Provisions) Order 2012 and comes into force on 1st April 2012.

(2)

In this Order “the Act” means the Housing (Scotland) Act 2010.

Appointed day2.

(1)

Subject to paragraph (2), 1st April 2012 is the day appointed for the provisions of the Act specified in column 1 of Schedule 1 to come into force, in so far as not already in force.

(2)

Where a purpose is specified in column 3 of Schedule 1, a provision specified in column 1 comes into force in accordance with paragraph (1) only for that purpose.

Schedule 2 makes transitional and savings provisions in connection with the provisions of the Act commenced in this Order.
