EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order amends the Wildlife and Natural Environment (Scotland) Act 2011 (Commencement No. 2) Order 2011 (“the Order”) with regard to the commencement of section 13 (snares) of the Wildlife and Natural Environment (Scotland) Act 2011 (“the 2011 Act”).
It inserts a new article 2(3A) into the Order with the effect that section 13(3) (insofar as it inserts section 11A(4) and (9) into the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981) and section 13(5) of the 2011 Act come into force on 22nd November 2012.
It also amends article 2(4) of the Order so that the provisions of section 13 of the 2011 Act not already in force will come into force on 1st April 2013.
