The functions of the Secretary of State were transferred to the Scottish Ministers by virtue of section 53 of the Scotland Act <ref eId="c00002" href="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/id/ukpga/1998/46">1998 (c.46)</ref>. Paragraph 7 of Schedule 1 was amended by section 53(7) of the Planning etc. (Scotland) Act <ref eId="c00003" href="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/id/asp/2006/17">2006 (asp 17)</ref>.</p></authorialNote> and all other powers enabling them to do so.</p><formula name="enactingText"><p>In accordance with paragraph<span ukl:Name="NonBreakingSpace"> </span>9 of Schedule<span ukl:Name="NonBreakingSpace"> </span>1 to that Act they have consulted South Lanarkshire Council.</p></formula></preamble><body><article eId="article-1"><heading>Citation and commencement</heading><num>1.</num><content><p>This Order may be cited as the Town and Country Planning (Continuation in force of South Lanarkshire Local Plan) (Scotland) Order 2012 and comes into force on 29th June 2012.</p></content></article><article eId="article-2"><heading>Continuation in force of local plan</heading><num>2.</num><content><p>The Scottish Ministers direct that, notwithstanding the adoption of the South Lanarkshire Minerals Local Development Plan<authorialNote class="footnote" eId="f00002" marker="2"><p>The proposed South Lanarkshire Minerals Local Development Plan was published and South Lanarkshire Council’s intention to adopt it was advertised on 18th<span ukl:Name="NonBreakingSpace"> </span>April 2012 in accordance with section<span ukl:Name="NonBreakingSpace"> </span>19(10) of the Town and County Planning (Scotland) Act 1997.
