The Energy Act 2011 (Commencement No. 1) (Scotland) Order 2012

Coming into force
The Scottish Ministers make the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 121(2) of the Energy Act 20111.

Citation and commencement1.

This Order may be cited as the Energy Act 2011 (Commencement No. 1) (Scotland) Order 2012 and comes into force on 22nd June 2012.

Commencement2.

(1)

The day appointed for the provisions of the Energy Act 2011 specified in paragraph (2), to come into force is 22nd June 2012.

(2)

The provisions are—

(a)

section 10 (documents containing information about green deal plans: Scotland);

(b)

section 14(6) to (8) (acknowledgement of green deal plan in respect of property in Scotland);

(c)

section 15(4) (further provision made in regulations for acknowledgement of such a plan);

(d)

section 35(6) (green deal appeals: revocation or amendment of delegated legislation by Scottish Ministers); and

(e)

section 75 (access to register of energy performance certificates etc: Scotland).

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order brings sections 10, 14(6) to (8), 15(4), 35(6) and 75 of the Energy Act 2011 into force on 22nd June 2012.

The Bill for the Act received Royal Assent on 18th October 2011. Sections 37, 81, 104(1) and (2) and 119 to 122 came into force on that date.
