Each local authority listed in column (1) of the Schedule, whose area is wholly or partially designated by order under paragraphs 1(1) and 2(1) of Schedule 3 to the Road Traffic Act 1991

(permitted and special parking areas outside London), of which the reference number is given in column (2) of the Schedule, is an approved local authority for the purposes of section 44 of the Transport (Scotland) Act 2001 (civil penalties for bus lane contraventions).
