The relevant person may appeal to the Inner House against a decision of a lower court to remand him in custody under rule 4 or rule 8 by lodging a written notice of appeal with the Court of Session.

The appeal is to be treated procedurally, so far as possible, as though it were a bail appeal in criminal proceedings.
