16.—(1) The harbour limits within which CMAL shall exercise jurisdiction as the harbour authority and within which the powers of the harbour master shall be exercisable shall be the area bounded by an imaginary straight line commencing at a point at 181953E, 662747N, then extending in an imaginary straight line in a north-westerly direction to a point at 181678E, 663164N, then extending in an imaginary straight line in a south-westerly direction to a point at 181230E, 662626N, then extending in an imaginary straight line in a south-easterly direction to a point at 181495E, 662199N, then following the level of high water to a point at 182130E, 662396N, then extending in an imaginary straight line to a point at 182145E, 662448N, then continuing and following the level of high water to a point at 182082E, 662735N then extending in an imaginary straight line in a westerly direction to the point of commencement.
(2) The area described in paragraph (1) is, for the purpose of identification only, shown edged red on sheet 8 and, in the event that there is any discrepancy between the description of that area and the area shown on that sheet, the description shall prevail.
(3) The reference points specified in paragraph (1) of this article shall be construed as a reference to Ordnance Survey National Grid reference points and all directions specified in that paragraph shall be construed as if the words “or thereby” were inserted after each such direction.
