The Healthcare Improvement Scotland (Requirements for Reports) Regulations 2011

Coming into force

The Scottish Ministers make the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 10N(4) of the National Health Service (Scotland) Act 19781 and all other powers enabling them to do so.

Citation and commencement1

These Regulations may be cited as the Healthcare Improvement Scotland (Requirements for Reports) Regulations 2011 and come into force on 1st April 2011.

Reports to the Scottish Ministers2

On completion of an inspection under section 10M2 (inspections at the request of the Scottish Ministers) of the National Health Service (Scotland) Act 1978, Healthcare Improvement Scotland3 must send a copy of the report on the matters inspected to the Scottish Ministers as soon as reasonably practicable.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations make provision relating to reports prepared by Healthcare Improvement Scotland (HIS) under section 10N of the National Health Service (Scotland) Act 1978 (“the Act”).

Regulation 2 provides that HIS must send a copy of any report prepared after an inspection under section 10M of the Act to the Scottish Ministers as soon as reasonably practicable.
