EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order brings section 157 of the Housing (Scotland) Act 2010 (“the 2010 Act”) into force on 7th October 2011 for all purposes. The Order also brings section 158 of the 2010 Act into force on 7th October 2011, for the limited purpose of enabling consultation by the Scottish Ministers in terms of section 32B(7) of the Housing (Scotland) Act 1987. Section 158 amends the Housing (Scotland) Act 1987 Act by inserting section 32B.
The 2010 Act received Royal Assent on 9th December 2010. Sections 161, 163 and 165 to 167 came into force on Royal Assent.
