Citation and commencement1.
This Order may be cited as the Local Democracy, Economic Development and Construction Act 2009 (Commencement No. 3) (Scotland) Order 2011 and comes into force on 1st November 2011.
Day appointed2.
The day appointed for Part 5 of Schedule 7 (construction contracts) to the Local Democracy, Economic Development and Construction Act 2009 to come into force is 1st November 2011.

This Order brings into force on 1st November 2011 Part 5 of Schedule 7 (construction contracts) to the Local Democracy, Economic Development and Construction Act 2009 (“the 2009 Act”).
Part 8 of the 2009 Act amends Part II of the Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act 1996 (c.53) (“the 1996 Act”) which concerns contracts for the carrying out of construction operations. Part 5 of Schedule 7 to the 2009 Act repeals relevant provisions of the 1996 Act linked to amendments made by Part 8 of the 2009 Act which is commenced on 1st November 2011.
Part 9 of the 2009 Act came into force on the date of Royal Assent on 12th November 2009.
The following provisions of the 2009 Act have been (or will be*) brought into force in relation to Scotland by Commencement Orders made before the date of this Order.
