The visiting committee for a prison must make an annual report for the period of twelve months ending on 31st March each year to the Scottish Ministers concerning the state of the prison and its administration and may include in the report any advice and suggestions it considers appropriate.

The visiting committee’s annual report must be delivered to the Scottish Ministers as soon as possible after 31st March in each year.
