Coming into force
The Scottish Ministers make the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 73(f) of the Education (Scotland) Act 19801 and all other powers enabling them to do so.
Citation and commencement1
These Regulations may be cited as the Education Maintenance Allowances (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2011 and come into force on 1st August 2011.
Amendment of the Education Maintenance Allowances (Scotland) Regulations 20072

The Education Maintenance Allowances (Scotland) Regulations 20072 are amended as follows.

In regulation 3—
a
in paragraph (1), for “Scotland” substitute “the United Kingdom and Islands”; and
b
in paragraph (3), for “2004” substitute “2008”.

In Schedule 1, for “the United Kingdom and Islands” where it occurs in the following paragraphs substitute “Scotland”—

In paragraph 1(1) and (2) of Schedule 2, for “the United Kingdom and Islands” in each place where it occurs substitute “Scotland”.
