Transfer of Property held by NHS Quality Improvement Scotland to Healthcare Improvement Scotland

2.  On 1st April 2011 all property, rights and liabilities to which NHS Quality Improvement Scotland(1) was entitled or subject immediately before that date transfer to and vest in Healthcare Improvement Scotland(2).

NHS Quality Improvement Scotland is a Special Health Board constituted by article 3 of the NHS Quality Improvement Scotland Order 2002 (S.S.I. 2002/534). NHS Quality Improvement Scotland will be dissolved on 1st April 2011 by S.S.I. 2011/36. “Special Health Board” is defined in section 108 of the National Health Service (Scotland) Act 1978 (c.29) (“the 1978 Act”).

Healthcare Improvement Scotland is established by section 10A of the 1978 Act, section 10A was inserted into that Act by section 108 of the Public Services Reform (Scotland) Act 2010.
