The Scottish Register of Tartans Act 2008 (Commencement) Order 2009

The Scottish Ministers make the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 18 of the Scottish Register of Tartans Act 20081 and all other powers enabling them to do so.
Citation1.
This Order may be cited as the Scottish Register of Tartans Act 2008 (Commencement) Order 2009.
Appointed day2.
The provisions of the Scottish Register of Tartans Act 2008, in so far as they are not already in force, come into force on 5th February 2009.

This Order appoints 5th February 2009 as the day on which the Scottish Register of Tartans Act 2008, except section 18, will come into force. Section 18 relates to commencement and short title and came into force on Royal Assent, which was granted on 13th November 2008.
